Make Life Into A Movie Using The Power Of Music In Daily Life

The other day, while on a morning walk, I found myself reaching for my headphones. But instead of tuning into my recent podcast, I hesitated, and looked for something that could revive the energy I’d been missing lately.

Lately, I've embraced more silence, stepping away from music and other distractions. But as I revisited some of my favorite songs, I felt a powerful surge of energy and renewed passion.

This simple experience reminded me of the profound impact music can have on our lives, inspiring me to explore its benefits and how it can enrich our daily routines.

Make Life Feel Like A Movie

It's no mystery that music has an impact on how we feel. Different types of music can make us happy, sad, angry, relaxed, stressed or just amplify what we currently feel.

When going for a run or working out, the appropriate song can really make you feel like a superhuman starring in your own movie.

I love to blast music that makes me feel like I'm in a Rocky training montage..

As I mentioned earlier, I haven't been listening to much music recently. It might be a well needed break after studying and recording music intensely for a while. I have been so flooded with my own thoughts that more music made my head into a noise can.

With this in mind I have intentionally gone on more walks without any music, to try and calm my mind. Honestly, it doesn't seem to have worked very well. Still noisy in my can.

But, it made tuning back into some of my favorite songs more enjoyable!

You might be the kind of person that has music playlists for the different "scenes" of your life. The motivational, the sad, or the roadtrip one. And the thing is, they work. Life becomes a movie with the right soundtrack.

As we grow and change as people, our taste in music usually changes with us. I used to be 99% blues rock and guitar solos, these days I'm somewhere around 50% singer-songwriter 50% indierock. But I think im sliding back into blues again...

Just like journals or old photos can document our previous life experiences, the music we listen to will forever have a nostalgic place in our hearts, and remind us of the good old days. Even more so for people who grew up purchasing their music in physical format.

My whole point is, music is a infinite source of joy, sadness, anger, inspiration, love, hate, and whatever else we have the capability of feeling inside of us.

Just like reading books or getting to know people, new and old music can refill us with life force. Sometimes, we can take a well needed break and enjoy silence, but music will await your return.

So, just try and enjoy the power of music in daily life :)

Kind regards

-Axel
